Kabayo Foundation

KABAYO Foundation is a non-governmental organization based in Kenya, established in 2005 with a mission to transform disabilities through sport. The foundation focuses on leveraging sports as a tool for promoting the rights, inclusion, and empowerment of individuals with disabilities in the social and economic environment.

The gap KABAYO Foundation intends to fill lies in the limited opportunities and support available for individuals with disabilities to fully participate in sports, recreation, and societal activities. Despite the progress made in advancing disability rights and inclusion, many individuals with disabilities still face barriers to accessing sports programs, facilities, and opportunities for competitive engagement.

Our Programs

Handicap Sports Development

Our Handicap sports development aims to provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in sports at various levels, from grassroots recreational activities to elite competitive events such as the Paralympic Games.

Disability Rehabilitation

Our rehabilitation through sports, often referred to as adaptive or para sports, involves using physical activity and sports as a means to improve physical health, mental well-being, and social integration for individuals with disabilities.

Wellness and Recreation

Participating in adapted sports and recreational activities not only promotes physical fitness but also enhances overall well-being by providing opportunities for enjoyment, stress relief, and personal fulfillment.
